Kennedale ISD Concessions & Restrooms

Kennedale, Texas

Brief

Overview

The Kennedale ISD Ballfield Concessions and Restrooms project replaced a storm-damaged facility with a more complete, durable, and efficient support building for the District’s baseball and softball complex. Funded through a combination of insurance proceeds and district investment, the project became an opportunity to do more than replace what was lost. Reliance Architecture worked with Kennedale ISD to create a centrally located facility that better serves student-athletes, coaches, officials, families, and visitors.

Rather than rebuilding two separate structures, the new facility brings concessions, restrooms, ticketing, storage, and support spaces together under one roof. Its location between the Wildcats baseball field and Lady Kats softball field allows the building to serve both programs efficiently, with improved pedestrian circulation, accessible routes, and better support for high-attendance events. Dual concession areas and integrated ticket booths help streamline game-day operations while reducing staffing challenges and improving overall flow.

The building was designed for heavy public use and long-term value. Expanded men’s, women’s, and family restrooms provide full accessibility, while locker, shower, and support spaces better serve athletes, coaches, and officials. Durable finishes and practical building systems were selected to reduce maintenance demands over time, while utility infrastructure was planned to support modern food service operations and future flexibility.

Completed in September 2024, the facility has become a meaningful upgrade to Kennedale ISD’s athletic complex. A timeless mix of masonry and architectural metal panels gives the building a strong, campus-appropriate presence, while covered gathering areas provide shade and weather protection throughout the season. With prominent Wildcats Ballfields Complex branding and a clear, welcoming layout, the project reinforces school pride while giving the District a durable asset designed to serve the community for years to come.
