"He would research the requirements, estimate the costs and guide me through the process of what I could and could not have."

The Lengos property, located just outside of Bertram, TX, is a four and a half acre site with a creek running through and a grove of trees. The home is a 4,000 square feet oasis with wrap around porches. The desire for the client was to build a gathering spot for his large family to come and stay during family celebrations. Design focused on being able to cook and serve large groups both inside and the developed exterior spaces. The desire was to create areas that the families could congregate in smaller groups and circulate around the property. The desire to do a barndominium was born out of the clients desire to have space to grow into as he creates additional rooms for his family that stays over. Also, he wanted the ease of adding on additional bays, if desired in the future. The home is nestled into the terracing of the site with a view from the porch over the pool to the creek beyond. Upon arrival you pass the creek and the home is just beyond the grove of trees. The drive portal opens onto the private drive and flows into the delights along the way. The design has a sense of arrival that will welcome any guest.
