"Antonio listened to our concerns and effectively captured our vision into the design."
Delores Warnell
Frm. Superintendent, Bloomington ISD
The district superintendent identified the need for district staff to have facilities for their children not quite school age. This mandate was presented to us in the late summer of 2019 for implementation in the fall school year. We initially provided services for PACE but that was scrubbed for a new location at Northwest ES in an existing portable. From design to the finished construction, it was 2 months. We opened in October of 2019. The design was adapted to the Transportation building. Then a number of test fits were designed at Windermere ES, Wieland ES and another location at PACE. The design was integrated with safety and security measures for the protection of the children and staff. The layout for the test fits added more accessory spaces to better serve the end user. Northwest was the prototype that we continued to tweak for the future CDC in Pflugerville ISD.
