"I have merely conveyed an idea or concept to Antonio and then watched it grow on paper and in form through his artistic design."
Jeanne Goka
Principal, Ann Richards School for Young Women Leaders
As part of PFISD negotiation with the City of Pflugerville for the Hendrickson High School property, the district needed a master plan to consider the value of what they were trading to the city. The master plan considered the impact to the high school campus and looked at what improvements could be made not only to Hendrickson HS but also Kelly Lane MS and Murchison ES. Improvements to traffic flow and parking were considered along with other improvements such as canopies and new athletics fields for the campuses. The current detention pond at Hendrickson HS was sized for properties across SH-130. The plan looked at recapturing pond land for the high school campus future growth. An option to acquire 13 acres of land for a district Activity Center with a Natatorium was explored to address the district growing need for assembly spaces and to host events.
