Siboney Cellars Winery

Johnson City, Texas

Brief

Overview

Reliance worked with the Owner team to create a master plan for the Siboney Cellars Team. Special consideration was given to the new 10,700 sf winery and production building’s location on the site. The desire to make the facility part of the hill side was a huge factor in the design and locations of certain spaces in the building. The Production and Barrel Cellar areas require a constant temperature year round, often at cooler temps. By excavating the hillside, these rooms were nestled nicely into the hillside allowing some additional thermal control. The lower level Entry, Tasting Room and Tasting Terrace offer some breathtaking views of the hill country landscape and their newly planted vineyard, while the upper level walkout from the Barrel Loft and Loft Terrace present sunset views of the ridge and nearby oaks. A close partnership between the building and the hill country landscape allows for a unique and memorable wine tasting experience.
