Taylor ISD Middle School Secure Vestibule

Taylor, Texas

Brief

Overview

The entry of the middle school was originally into an open lobby, with no visibility from the administrative office or reception, and no way to secure entry into the building. The original plan for adding a secure entry was to add a vestibule and reception onto the front of the building, as the lobby had limited space. After the design was mostly complete, Antonio had an idea to make renovations work without adding on to the building, and redesigned and redocumented the entire project with the money saving approach.
